VIDEO BIOGRAPHY or AUTOBIOGRAPHY PROJECT
A biography tells the story of someone’s life by documenting key events. An autobiography tells the story of one’s own life. Biographies and autobiographies are typically in a documentary style. For this project you will be creating a video telling either the story of your life or the story of your family or an interesting family member.
Planning or Pre-Production: Begin by jotting down a few important events that would be interesting or important in your life or that of your family. Plan how you would like to share this information. You may choose to include personal video clips, photographs, or interviews. Write down your story and plan using the script template found in my public folder.
Production: Gather together photos, videos, music and other elements you wish to include in your video.
Post-Production: Use iMovie to combine your elements and create your movie.
Distribution: Share your video by exporting to your public folder. We will also be “burning” this finished video to DVD for you to have as a sample of your work in this class.
Projects must be ready to share on Tuesday, May 15. Class periods remaining: May 1, 7, 8 and 14.
