Digital Photography 1/9/14

In these last two days of class students will have the choice between two different projects:

Option One:   Photo Comic Strip 

Using the application, Comic Life,  create an illustrated story using your original photos.

Option Two: Essay on Photoshop or Truth

Assignment:

1. Read the following online article:  Ethics in Photo Editing.    (This is a long article so be sure and scroll down and include all the examples.)

2.  In a separate word processing program, write an essay summarizing the article and answering the following questions:  What is the difference between "Art" and Photojournalism"?  When is it ok to manipulate a photo and when is it not ok? 

3. Your written response should be approximately one type-written page at 10 or 12 pt. font. Add header. Double-space. Support your opinion with details from this article or from other legitimate sources. If you use another source to support your opinion, site that source in your writing.  For example:  According to the article, "Photojournalism--True Colors" on the website, Articlesbase, .....  

4. Your essay will be evaluated on content and mechanics.  Be sure and support your opinion.
