Planning a Trip
To compliment their study of the states, students will have the opportunity to plan a trip to five of their favorite landmarks from around the country. They will use Mapquest to get the actual mileage from each starting point to the next landmark, finally finishing back at their original starting location, Kansas City, MO. They will create a chart in Microsoft Word to show the results of their journey including starting points, end points, and total miles.
